Demand Planning Senior Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain accurate demand forecasts for a diverse portfolio of automotive products, utilizing historical data, market intelligence, promotional plans, and statistical modeling techniques.
• Lead the monthly demand review process as part of the broader S&OP cycle, collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Production teams to achieve consensus forecasts.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and bias, conducting thorough root cause analysis for significant deviations and implementing corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage inventory levels effectively by aligning forecasts with procurement and logistics schedules, minimizing obsolescence, and optimizing working capital.
• Utilize and enhance ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and other planning tools to optimize forecasting processes and data integrity.
• Prepare and present detailed demand plans, market insights, and performance reports to senior management, providing actionable recommendations to 'Empower' strategic decision-making.
• Contribute to the refinement of demand planning methodologies and tools, embracing new technologies and best practices to 'Pioneer' excellence in our supply chain operations.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, fostering an environment of 'Respect' and collaborative problem-solving.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analysis, preferably within the automotive or a similarly complex manufacturing/retail industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in demand forecasting techniques and statistical analysis, with a proven track record of improving forecast accuracy.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data modeling, analysis, and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and dedicated demand planning software.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
